The COVID-19 outbreak has impacted us in so many different ways. It’s a trying time for all of us, including the local restaurants. There’s no better time to support our local eateries than now, so check out your food delivery apps to find your favourite food!
We’ve rounded up four local restaurants that you can try during this MCO.
1. Restoran Dapur Sarawak
Halal Mee Kolok is hard to come by, but you can find it in Restoran Dapur Sarawak. Located in Jalan Sarikei, Kuala Lumpur, this restaurant serves an extensive menu of authentic Sarawak cuisines, which now you can get delivered to your house! Their Laksa Sarawak and Mee Kolok are a must try, but if you’re looking for something a little different, try their Nasi Manok Panggang, which is white rice served with Iban-style grilled chicken, or Nasi Aruk, Sarawak-style fried rice.
2. Tappaw Corner
Tired of planning what to cook tomorrow? Get your meals delivered from Tappaw Corner, a restaurant in Ampang that serves the best of Malay dishes. From belacan stir fried vegetables to Claypot Asam Pedas sets, there’s something for everyone in your family here. Tappaw Corner also serves a variety of fried rice and noodle dishes if you’re looking for a quick meal!
3. Mozer’s
Serving delicious Syrian cuisines, Mozer’s delivers to you from one of their three branches: Shah Alam, Bukit Jelutong and Sri Hartamas. Their menu ranges from appetizers like hummus and potato samosa to shawarma and main courses like Mendy rice. If you have a family member who doesn’t fancy Middle Eastern food, Mozer’s also serves pasta dishes.
4. Souka Bakeshop
Celebrating a birthday? Souka Bakeshop in Subang Jaya is still diligently baking the best cakes in town just for you! They have a wide variety of cakes to choose from, and some of their bestsellers include Biscoff Cheesecake, Berry Pavlova and Hummingbird. Souka is having a special 30% promotion this MCO when you order your cakes from them (both slice and whole cake), so let’s eat cake!
