1. Visit the sun and moon pagodas
The beautiful Sun and Moon pagodas can be found in the “Two Rivers & Four Lakes” where four rivers and two lakes meet. This area is beautiful during the night when you can take a leisurely stroll around the lake and admire the amazing pagodas. When the night falls, you will see two different lights from the twin pagodas. The gold pagoda refers to sun and the silver pagoda refers to the moon.
2. Ride on a Bamboo boat
The most popular thing to do in Yangshuo is to ride a bamboo boat. While on the boat, you will be able to see the amazing scenery of the river’s area either you start from Xing Ping (Li River) or Yangshuo River.
3. Visit the Longsheng paddy fields
Don’t miss out on visiting the Longsheng paddy fields which is one of the best scenery to see in Longsheng. The place is quite far and will take you within 3 hours estimated time to arrive there but worth visiting because of its lovely panorama view of paddy fields.
4. Amazing Xingping
When you are in Yangshuo, grab a chance to visit the touristy town of Xingping that takes an hour to get there. Most interesting thing to experience there is the 20 yuan viewpoint where the scene from 20 yuan note is depicted.
5. Go visit the cave
Guilin and Yangshuo are popular for their caves. There are a lot of caves there but two of the best and most popular caves to visit which are Water cave and Red Flute Cave.
6. Experience the night market
Chinese people are very good at bartering skills and if you want to test yours, go ahead to the Guilin Night Market located at Xichenglu Pedestrian Street. Enjoy their various local foods because it’s one of the most enjoyable things to do in Guilin.
