- Power bank
Imagine coming across a breathtaking scenery, or finding yourself lost in the middle of nowhere, and when you take out your phone to open the camera or map, it’s out of battery.
Never ever leave on a trip without a power bank! Even if it’s not an essential item in your everyday life, you’ll be thanking yourself for bringing one. You’ll be using your phone a lot during your travel not just to look for directions and taking photos, but also to look up many other important things like train times, restaurant opening hours, and probably translations as well.
- Travel adapter
The country you’re travelling to probably doesn’t have the same power socket outlet as your country. It’s important to do research ahead of your trip to be sure, and remember to bring a travel adapter with you so that you can charge your phone or use other electronic devices that you’ve packed along.
- (The right) clothes
It might be warmer or colder where you’re heading to, so make sure to check the weather ahead and pack the right outfits. Winter clothes like knits and down jackets, which take up a lot of space in your luggage, can be pressed down using vacuum. Be smart while planning your outfits so you can mix and match, and remember not to pack too much so you can make space for more souvenirs!
- Food
Of course, one of the things we all look forward to when we travel is trying the local cuisines. Still, you’re probably going to need cup noodles, energy bars, or even some chilli sauce when you’re away in a foreign country. Besides, you can set aside more money for souvenirs or entrance fees! For Muslim travellers, halal food isn’t that easy to find in some countries, and it usually costs more.
- Prayer essentials
Last but not least, don’t forget to pack your prayer outfit, mat and other essentials too! While we all want to enjoy our trip to the utmost, we shouldn’t miss out on our duties as Muslims.
