Disney has released a first look at their first Frozen-themed attraction set to open in 2016. After introducing Frozen sing-alongs with Anna and Elsa at Disneyland Resort in California and sailings aboard Disney cruise ships with the cast of Frozen characters, Disney is expanding the franchise from its most successful animated film with a Frozen Ever After ride.
Set to open in 2016 at Walt Disney World’s Epcot Theme Park, the attraction will transport riders to the wintry setting of Arendelle, where they will visit Queen Elsa’s ice palace, the North Mountain and the Bay of Arendelle in a Viking boat. The ride will also feature favourite soundtracks from the film throughout the ride.
After its monumental success at the box office, Disney also announced plans to create aFrozen 2. The film, released in 2013, has raked in nearly US$1.3bil (RM4.87bil) worldwide to become the highest-grossing animated film in cinematic history, and one of the top-grossing films of all time.
Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck will return to write and direct the second installment of the film.
