Langkawi Wildlife Park won a TripAdvisor award for the third consecutive year when it was recognised as one of the recipients for its Certificate of Excellence for 2015.
Its general manager, Teoh Cheng Kung, said the success of winning the global award had placed the park as one of the best reviewed tourist attractions in Asia.
“Prior to getting this award, the park won a TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence Award in 2013 and its Travellers’ Choice Attractions Award last year, and we are proud of these achievements,” he said when met entertaining 20 children of special needs and orphans at a breaking of fast ceremony organised by the park last night.
He said these accolades were won based entirely on the reviews made by tourists who had visited the park, who in turn would make their recommendations for awards according to these reviews.
“Winning these awards were also so much due to initiatives of all our staff who have gone the extra mile to ensure our visitors enjoyed their time at the park,” he said.
The Langkawi Wildlife Park is located about 13km from the island’s main town, Kuah, and has been operating since 2002. It boasts a collection of about 100 species of animals from around the world. – Bernama, June 26, 2015.
