While airports aren’t exactly known for their food, some are better than others when it comes to the quality and variety of cuisine they offer customers.
Consumer aviation website Skytrax recently revealed the winners of its annual World Airport Awards for 2016, including the world’s 10 best airports for dining.
The results were based on 13.25 million survey questionnaires completed by airline customers of 106 different nationalities.
Here are the 10 best airports to enjoy a meal at before your next flight.
10. Hamad International Airport (DOH): Doha, Qatar
The Hamad International Airport took 10th place, offering customers both gourmet and on-the-go bites.
Sample Indian and Arabic cuisine, pastas and pizzas, or organic sandwiches at its food court, or indulge in one of the hearty Italian dishes prepared at celebrity chef Massimo Capra’s restaurant, Soprafino.
9. Munich Airport (MUC): Munich, Germany
The Munich Airport is home to Airbräu, a Bavarian restaurant that has a large indoor beer garden, live music, and its own on-site brewery. Enjoy a glass of their house-made beer alongside a selection of tasty Bavarian treats.
8. Kansai International Airport (KIX): Izumisano, Japan

Restaurants like Suzunami serve traditional Nagoya specialties that include various seafood selections, while there are several stops for enjoying a bowl of piping hot ramen.
4. Incheon International Airport (ICN): Incheon, South Korea
Whether you’re in search of elegant dine-in restaurants, fast food spots, or stalls where you can grab delectable snacks, you’ll find it at the Incheon International Airport.
Authentic Korean cuisine abounds here, with restaurants serving everything from mackerel and rice to kimchi, noodles, and dim sum.
